About Lorne Coyle

Lorne Coyle is dedicated to serving the needy and draws upon over three decades of experience in fundraising and non-profit work. Most recently, Lorne served as the Executive Director of the Homeless Family Center for three years in Vero Beach, Florida. The Homeless Family Center, is a non-profit that provides housing, food, job counseling, training, education, transportation, and tutoring. The program has an excellent success rate with 76% of those families who enter the program graduate successfully, typically with more income, more jobs, more education, and permanent housing. Under his leadership, Coyle helped over two hundred homeless families get back on their feet and rebuild their lives. He also raised the capital to start the A Second Chance Thrift Store and Training Center, which has been successful since its opening in November of 2012. Despite the recession, he increased the agency’s income by 10%, while right-sizing the staff so as to finish every year in the black.

In 2013, Lorne Coyle started Coyle Consulting Co. with the mission to assist non-profit organizations to increase their capacity to serve and to help for-profits maximize their margin.
